Our SHEEP

Sheep are an integral part of the Welsh countryside and our hill farm has spent hundreds of years rearing the perfect Welsh lamb. 

Our traditional breed Welsh ewes have their lambs in late Spring and rear them on our fields and meadows. When the lambs are weaned the sheep go for their summer holidays up on the thousands of acres of moorland above the farm. Our Welsh lamb naturally finishes on sweet summer hill grass and the flavour is beyond compare.

Sheep farming is very much a family job as the children can help out a lot. There always seems to be something to do with the sheep, from mending fences where they have escaped to shearing and looking after their feet. Checking the sheep up on the hill with the ponies is always a favourite job.
